Peacock
recalled how he was taking the ball up for a run when an opposing
player grabbed hold of his penis and then forced him to the ground.
Unfortunately the force of the tackle caused the penis to come away from his body.
Remarkably,
Peacock managed to carry on until half-time in the match – it was only
then that he decided to take a look at the injury.
‘At
half-time I was like, I’ve got to have a look, I checked on it and the
skin was half ripped off and I was like, s***, where’s the doctor?
Where’s the doctor?’ Peacock told freelance journalist Guy Williams.
Peacock, a former junior Cronulla Sharks player, recounts the event vividly .
‘He
(the opposition player) made a tackle by reaching out and grabbing my
d***, he got a hold of my d*** with one hand and pulled me down,’
Peacock said.
The excruciating injury required Peacock to have 11 stitches inserted and get heavily strapped for the next game.
‘The
coach wanted me to go out and buy a cup but I’m not going to play with a
cup. I wouldn’t of been able to run,’ Peacock said.
Peacock previously played as a junior for Cronulla Sharks and has represented Ireland at international level
