As a mark of respect, her casket was carried by eight of her Secret Service detail as she was transported from a Santa Monica funeral home to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum.

There will then be a public viewing at Simi Valley's Ronald Reagan Presidential Library that will last into Thursday
Friday will be the funeral — which was planned down to the smallest details by the former first lady herself
Mrs Reagan will be laid to rest next to President Ronald Reagan on a hillside tomb facing the Pacific Ocean
