Muscle man: Game Of Thrones star Hafthor 'Thor' Bjornsson, pictured in Melbourne ahead of the Arnold Classic bodybuilding competition, has revealed his very extreme diet and exercise regime
'It's very, very extreme how much food I need to put in to my body,' he admits.
'It's a lot of work. More work than people realize.'
A typical breakfast may include 100 grams of oatmeal, eight eggs, some blueberries and some strawberries.
'It's very, very extreme how much food I need to put in to my body,' he admits.
'It's a lot of work. More work than people realize.'
Thor
abides by a grueling daily exercise schedule - three hours in the gym
followed by more time stretching, then hot and cold baths to cool his
body down so he can train more.
'It's a lot of weights, a lot of hard work, a lot of sweat, a lot of tears, a lot of blood and a lot of time,' he says.
But while he's won numerous Strong man competitions, Thor does admit there are downsides to being such a giant of a man.

Everyday tasks, like fitting into a regular car, finding shoes that fit - he is a size 15 - and a sturdy chair to sit on, all prove a challenge.
'If they're not strong enough, you can break them,' he told AAP.
Thor
is in Australia to compete for $US50,000 ($A66,247) in The Arnold
Strongman World Championships at Arnold Schwarzenegger's Arnold Classic
in Melbourne.
His drive is for self-improvement, whether in bodybuilding or acting.
'It's
just who I am. In my sport, I want to improve myself and I know for a
fact I can be an a lot better actor than I am now,' he says.
Meanwhile, Thor remains tight-lipped on what to expect from season six of Game Of Thrones, which is due to premiere next month.
'I'm
not allowed to talk about the season coming up, but I can tell you that
it's going to be interesting and it's going to be a great season,' is
all he offers.
Now a household
name! Thor plays 'The Mountain' in the hit HBO series - and reveals fans
now know his name after his numerous appearances on the show
Thor admits being cast in the fantasy drama series without prior acting experience and thrust alongside experienced actors was 'scary'.
'It's tough. I like it. I like when I try to get better,' he says.
While the show has definitely made life busier, one of the great things is people can now say his name.
'Before they knew me as the strong guy. Now when they see me on the street they call Hafthor Julius Bjornsson,' he says.
'I find that pretty awesome because my name is long and it's very Icelandic and for people to remember the name is difficult.'
Schwarzenegger suffered a similar fate, he recalls.
'People
laughed at him and said, "you'll never be famous, your name is too
hard. But everybody knows who Arnold Schwarzengger is,"' he says, before
adding: 'I'm far, far away from where he is.'
