Tragic case of 15 year old arrested for shooting his sister, 10
'I didn't know exactly how to deal with that, so I shot her again" 
- boy accused of killing sister


Isabela Hefferman,10 year-old girl was reported reported missing by her family and was later found behind her home in Fountain.

Lochridge initially told deputies he shot Isabella after mistaking her for a deer.  Later said he fired his .22 caliber rifle because he thought someone was attacking Heffernan.
 In a third statement, Lochridge claimed he shot Isabella by accident while teaching her how to use a rifle. Then proceeded to shoot her again when the mortally wounded sister started making gurgling noises, Lochridge said:
'I didn't know exactly how to deal with that, so I shot her again,"

Sheriff's officials are not ruling out sexual battery preceding Heffernan's killing
Lochridge's father suspected his son may have had something to do with Isabella's disappearance and handcuffed him 
The teen's mother, Michele Lochridge, is currently serving a prison sentence in connection to a 2011 murder of her boss
